Volvo’s Upgraded Equipment Lineup

For 2026, Volvo Construction Equipment has upgraded over 35% of its lineup. This includes new model releases and enhancements to existing models. These improvements aim to elevate job site productivity while lowering total cost of ownership for contractors. Read more about some highlights in Volvo’s equipment lineup.

The All-New EC560 Excavator

Volvo expands their lineup in the heavy excavator class with the release of the new EC560 crawler excavator. This model is built for large-scale projects such highway and bridge construction, as well as mining and quarry applications.

Along with its 56-ton operating class, the EC560 is equipped with a 6 cubic yard bucket to allow for high-volume excavation. With its optimized electro-hydraulics, this machine offers 3% more digging force and 10% more swing torque, contributing to improved overall efficiency.

The launch of the EC560, saw Volvo introduce a fully redesigned cab that incorporates HMI (Human Machine Interface) focused on operator comfort, control, and reducing operator fatigue.

The A50 Articulated Hauler

New to Volvo’s lineup is a new size class in their articulated hauler lineup. With a 50-ton payload, the A50 gives contractors another option to tackle rough terrain in quarries, mines, and challenging construction sites.

This new model delivers 10% more productivity than its predecessor, the A45G FS. It also provides greater fuel efficiency, faster travel speed, and a smoother ride due to the improved full-suspension technology.

Updated Wheel Loader Lineup

Volvo has introduced considerable upgrades to their large, mid-size, and compact electric wheel loaders. These enhancements are designed to maximize uptime and job-site safety in quarrying, mining, construction, logging, and agriculture applications.

Among the lineup upgrades is the introduction of the D17 engine, which now powers the L350H, Volvo’s largest wheel loader. Using wave piston technology, the D17 provides higher torque at lower RPM, resulting in smoother low-speed operation, faster boom speeds, and a 5% increase in fuel efficiency.
